Set at the heart of the city, Hanoi Old Quarter is accessible by a variety of transportation. Below you can locate important landmark to the old quarter:
1/ Airport:
Vietnam hanoi Old Quarter is about 45 minutes from the airport by car ride. One can easily catch a taxi at the airport for $15, or take the inexpensive minibus for $2.
Local bus is the least expensive at 50 cent, but it only stops at the rear of Dong Xuan market and you need to walk or take another taxi ride to the Old Quarter.
2/ Train station:
Hanoi Train station is 10 minutes by car or 20 minutes walk from anywhere in the Old Quarter. Taxi costs $2 or if you have time, walk down Hang Bong street until you reach Tran Quy Cap station.
3/ From main attractions:
- Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum: 10 minutes by taxi or 20 minutes walk
- Hoan Kiem Lake (Sword Lake): adjacent to Old Quarter by Hang Ngang, Cau Go and Hang Gai street
- West Lake: 10-15 minutes by taxi
- Women Museum, Museum of Arts, Temple of Literature: 20 minutes by taxi
